Fashion peeps bemoan the loss of the “dream” constantly. We grumble in fashion week cars, at dinners and at anodyne shows. Well @richardquinn showed us DREAM in spades
Many designers have been reacting to our troubled times by rejecting the mundane and the banal but Quinn went above and beyond, pushing hemlines up and proportions out, accompanied by an orchestra and choir
As if that wasn’t enough pomp, you had Handel’s Zadok the Priest playing to a dramatic reveal of a Cecil Beaton-esque tableaux on stage with what appears to be the launch of Richard Quinn bridalwear, as befits the end of a couture show
And to have a troupe of girls walking out in mini RQ ensembles to end the show? That’s the future generation and their heads filled with feathered and unfettered dreams
