Look out for the full moon tonight! 🌕 👀 In 1871, Lewis Morris Rutherfurd produced these lunar stereoviews, pairing photographs of the full moon taken at different times and places. Seen through a special optical viewer, the composite image of the two moons appear to overlay, presenting an otherwise impossible three-dimensional view of the moon.
See them in "Apollo's Muse: The Moon in the Age of Photography," but hurry! The exhibition closes September 22. #MetApollosMuse #Apollo50
