🍑HIP THRUST TIPS⚡️

here’s a little rundown on some of my fave cues when performing the hip thrust. every time I perform a set, I make sure I keep these cues in the back of my mind to make sure everything feels good and my glutes are firing up🔥

Some additional tips for you:

☑️Invest in a sturdy hip pad: I use one by @ironbullstrength and it’s super cushiony. no more nasty bruising!🙌🏼

☑️Use a bench height that’s about 1 ft (I am quite petite at a hefty 5’3” so if you’re taller you may want to go a lil higher than that😁)

☑️Keep your knees in close to your body. The farther out you go, you’ll tend to feel the HT more in your hamstrings

☑️You don’t need to control the weight back down after each rep. let gravity do that work for you, instead keep your energy on the coming up portion of the movement, eg. the thrust!
