Undergoing multiple surgeries in efforts to save her ankle, she was told that she would never be able to run ever again. About a year and a half ago, she decided that she wanted to go ahead and amputate her left leg below her knee in hopes of living a fuller life. Watching Samara yesterday run for the FIRST time yesterday since she was FOUR years old after she got her first @cafoundation @ossur running prosthetic brought me to straight tears. Last month when @jonniewest4 and I got married, we decided not to do a wedding registry and do a donation link to CAF instead. We cannot THANK all of our friends and family who donated so generously enough!
