Come every #LaborDay, we stow away our summer whites and gear up for a month-long explosion of divine creations from designers around the world. But before embracing fashion’s new beginnings, V would like to reflect on those we’ve lost along the way. Cuban-born #IsabelToledo was one of America’s greatest designers, in the school of and inspired by the likes of #Vionnet, #MadameGrès and America’s very own #ClareMcCardell, #GeoffreyBeene and #CharlesJames. She was a true artist and craftswoman, whose work impacted many including @michelleobama. She remains a shining example of what young designers should strive for, a woman who was constantly devoted to expressing herself.
