War torn and scared from a lifetime of battles, this #lion here has held a solitary pride on the fringe of #KrugerNationalPark for the last 5 years. It’s a place rich with #Lions and hyena meaning he’s faced countless confrontations in inevitable defense to retain his Royal position as king of his territory. For a lone male to accomplish this is no easy task and in his time he’s reared dozens upon dozens of cubs. His face is a badge of honor in the lion world, hieroglyphs displaying a history of violent life at the top of the food chain.
