I was privileged to have the immensely humbling opportunity to meet and spend time with these heroic, happy and beautiful children and their families at the @paleyinstitute. These kids have come from all over the world to receive treatment, including two very special Aussies! Demi (9) and Sophia (4) are being treated for Fibula Hemomilia, and their families have made the strenuous trek from Australia to the USA multiple times - sacrificing so much in doing so with unconditional love. The joy that I was met with on the faces of these children, and the gratitude from their parents, despite having endured so much, spoke volumes to their determination and spirit. I was grateful to have had an impact in whatever small way I am able to. Whatever you’re going through there are those you know and don’t know who are fighting a battle you know nothing about. So please don’t lose sight of what truly matters. Be thankful for your health. Appreciate the little things. These kids most certainly do.
