They joined various organizations in a united campaign, based on a model used earlier in New York. 📃1920 was a presidential campaign year, so suffragists were at the Democratic and Republican national conventions, fighting to get woman's suffrage added to the party platforms. 📃Tennessee was the 36th state to ratify on Aug. 18, and the amendment became official on Aug. 26.
