we're so lucky to witness a time where empowering female protagonists are no longer a rarity

Uhhh, they were never a rarity...? Female protagonists have been around and everywhere since the beginning of film. Need I mention Princess Leia? Ripley from Alien? COUNTLESS ‘final girls’ from various 80s and 90s horror films that were badass, strong and survived? Your caption leads me to believe you’ve been brainwashed by modern feminism to think women have never had strong, prominent roles in film, when it’s actually been the exact opposite.

Bullshit! So leia isn’t empowering? What about padme? Or ahoska? Rey is a Mary Sue! She’s always perfect and never makes a mistake! Luke and Anakin were powerful after actual training and learning from those mistakes. Rey learned the mind trick in one movie, Luke did it 3 movies later.

It never was a rarity. There have been hundreds of strong female characters and actresses before you. You’re nothing special... you can’t even act your way out of a paper bag

Such utter fucking BANTHA CRAP. Leia? Ripley? Padme? Ahsoka? Ventress? The night sisters? Hera? Sabine?
