Bukozan(#武甲山) is located in between Chichibu city(#秩父市) and Yokoze town of northwestern Saitama Prefecture. The surrounding area has been designated as a Prefectural Nature Park. . There are multiple ways to climb the mountain. One is to simply climb up Mt. Bukozan and the other is by taking the Tsumasaka passageway. This mountain is not only valued for its beauty but also for its resources. Many of the building materials come from the mountain. . In Chichibu City, you can visit the Mitsumine shrine and the Chichibu shrine. Also, along with many other events, the “Chichibu Night Festival(#秩父夜祭)”, which is open from December 1st to the 6th, is definitely worth a visit.
