If we still had faith in Ra would we have created global warming

This is a very interesting question, and not an angle I've pondered before. Is the bigger question: if more humans had stronger faith in their spirituality or a specific religion, would we have allowed climate change to happen? Hmmm, I don't think it's that simple, but I do think it is an element to the equation. While the Earth does warm + cool in natural cycles, there's overwhelming evidence that we are making is happen faster than ever before. The denial of that science is part of the first problem, which some could attribute to an over-emphasis on faith over science. Personally, I don't believe that faith and science have to be enemies - could science be the answer to How, while faith/religion/spirituality is the answer to Why? I've met numerous openly-Christian, Muslim, + Native-faith scientists who don't see their faith as going against their scientific work, but supporting it. Were the popular faiths of modern day to put a heavier emphasis on caring for the place we call home, perhaps things could be different. Our belief in our own disconnection/insignificant differences with each other, and by proxy, the world we share, means we will continue to wreck havoc. There is hope. There are many changes to improve things, but it involves change - something many fear on a visceral level, even though it's all life can guarantee for us.

Hey Manu. I know you've questioned Christianity before, but I want to assure you that the manuscripts, history and claims of the Bible and the God of the Scriptures are true. Many scholars from all religions including atheism confirm that Jesus died on the cross, and there is ample evidence proving that He indeed rose from the dead. Additionally there is the presuppositional argument for the Christian God. I just want to invite you to search the Scriptures for yourself, maybe starting with the Gospel of John, to see what the Lord Himself has told us through His revelation. I mean no disrespect, just an honest offer for you to come and see the goodness and truthfulness of God. Thank you :)

Don't remember where I heard this, it was one of the spiritual leaders I listen to - but interesting food for thought - The sun not only gives us life, but it interacts with life and the planets, when it was revered in ancient cultures, it burned brighter, the more energy we humans gave it through thanks, the more transformative and sustaining energy it gave us. Some alternative science also tracks solar flares happening /because/ of events on the Earth like large scale wars or mass murders, not the other way around (which is popular belief that we feel the solar flares - true, but we humans have more collective power than we are led to believe)

100%- but we cant control what the sun puts off and that’s 99.5 of what controls “global warming”-two concerns that far out weigh global warming is famine in 50 yrs from over population and out dated and wasteful agricultural techniques - easily avoidable if governments will be pushed by their citizens to take the right steps - and then Litter/ ocean and land litter is a serious enemy that must be destroyed- we need an overhaul pick up of all trash and then a new way to stay clean green - and sustainable/

Yes. Most humans have religion but that doesn’t stop them from ruining the planet. I agree with the above comment about greed. And as a people we’ve also become very lazy. How many thousands of years has this planet existed? And in maybe 200 years or so human’s industrialization and lifestyles are systematically destroying the earth. If we went back to a simpler way of life we could stop destroying the ozone and maybe over time some of the damage could reverse.
