tadwphotoworld Provenance and signature. The work of some great master painters is so distinctive, that there’s no need to look for their signature, as their unique style is easy to identify. DaVinci, Rembrandt and Caravaggio fall into this category, in my opinion. Similarly, there are one or two photographers (possibly only one), who have no need to sign or leave a logo on their prints, as they fall into that rare category, where their work is their signature. This stunning portrait says ‘McCurry’ all over: intense and brilliant colour, Kodachrome at it’s best, mastery of the light and background, with hypnotic eyes following the viewer from all angles. These days, images are being stolen, copied and manipulated, with few producing original creative work of a high standard. How refreshing then, to find a photographer whose work many have tried to copy, but none have succeeded in doing so!
