linda_mckale Rainy days remind me of when I’d come home from school ( age 6) at 3pm if it was cold and raining. Mum would take off my wellies, wet coat and sit me on top of the worktop then place a heater on the floor so the hot air could waft up towards me chasing away the chill of the cold air from outside the house. Then she’d make me a cup of tea and a toasted bread roll with real butter spread on it. Because I was young I’d get away with dunking my toasted buttered bread roll into my tea, then slurping up the gooey sublime taste it all made together. These days I’ve got 7 annoyed cats who detest rain. They take turns sitting at the kitchen door demanding loudly that I open it, once established that that it’s still pouring down, they turn tail and go away in disgust! Only to return 10 minutes latter to collaborate that rain has indeed stopped Cat play in the garden and the bird watching must be done from a window. I wonder if they’d wear wellies and a raincoat ? Then peace could be restored ?? 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💝❤️💝🇺🇸
