On August 1st, the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis (@climatecrisis) met in my home town of Boulder, CO. This year, Colorado adopted an economy-wide carbon pollution law that will cut emissions 90 percent by 2050. The House Select Committee discussed how to use “Colorado’s Roadmap for Clean Energy” as an action plan. I had the honor and pleasure to photograph some of the bipartisan committee members and local change makers upon the wrap of the event.

Denver, itself, has a unique problem. I recall going into Denver and seeing a dirty smog cloud hover like a blanket over the whole city, that was well over 50 years ago! ... The Boulder Daily Camera, just a day ago, noted that the air quality already showed evidence of Russian’s latest nuclear mishap. Time is of the essence, no matter where one lives.

Please, if so, don’t talk about climate crisis or emergency. Americans, don’t be chickens, take strong actions instead! Try to have a net zero carbon footprint like France for the Olympic Games in 2024! Best

foodwaterattention HB-1261 has no teeth and falls short by several measures. Of course the Select Committee would pursue a business friendly framework while objecting to the GND. 🤷🏻‍♂️
