The photographer @stephensperanza, who owns a total of one suit — off-the-rack — started venturing into tailor shops in Brooklyn to explore what seemed like a dated practice. But inside their doors he found vibrant cultural scenes, with virtuosic artisans and conversations out of barber shops. For Yosel Tiefenbrun, a bespoke tailor and non-practicing Chabad rabbi of East Williamsburg, it is difficult to watch a customer drape a custom suit over a metal chair.
