Hey friends,
We are putting together a list of companies who are doing their part to help us end declawing.
As many of you know, @purina Purina makes millions of dollars each year from the sales of Yesterday's News Litter. 🙀
Most declawing vets sell, recommend, and use Yesterday's News for the cats that they just performed this barbaric amputation procedure on. 😾
We've tried for many years to inspire Purina to do the right thing and put an educational label on their bags of Yesterday's News Litter about the facts about declawing.
We've tried to see if Purina would put a story on their catchow.com site about the facts about declawing.
We've tried to see if they would donate a very small portion of each sale to an organization like ours that is working to help end declawing.
But they aren't the least bit interested.😾😾😾
Thankfully many of you have reached out to them last year and asked them about this but they kept giving everyone the same cop out answers.
Let's see if they've had a change of leadership with humans who see the value in helping to end this animal cruelty instead of looking the other way and profiting from it.
Please respectfully ask Purina if they will help us protect cats from this barbaric amputation procedure.

citythekitty @ecovaluations please google City the Kitty Purina and you will see two stories about the history of our campaign to inspire Purina to do the right thing. Also, please elaborate on what you mean. So for Purina to do the right thing and help us, they would need to see that they won’t lose money from the sales of Yesterday’s News litter or they could make it up some other way?

tacocookiepoppy My state just banned declawing and the hospital I work for does such f*** procedures it's so sad to see the kitties after. And they also use yesterday's litter which I hate. Cats who are curious like mine try to eat it because they think it's a treat. 👏👏 On what you are doing!!!

susies_menagerie Well, with more states outlawing this procedure, their profits on the product will diminish - but they make plenty of $ on their wet/dry cat & dog food, horse feed, and other livestock products. Corporate greed at best.

ecovaluations One's approach is crucial in creating traction -- no accusations or criticisms. We must take an approach that offers Purina an alternative that is seen to be in their best economic interest.
