if you’re watching movies just for the color of someone’s skin you shouldn’t be watching movies😭. if she can play the character, THATS ALL THAT MATTERS. you ARE racist if you make a comment about not wanting someone’s skin color in a movie, hello? there is nothing wrong with the ariel casted because if she can play the part, that’s what matters and that’s why i watch the movie. just like the cartoon ariel inspired girls with red hair and made them feel beautiful, i’m sure this movie will too. to move on and bring up something a little more important than worrying about skin color, when are we gonna get a “plus sized” princess to encourage young girls that they too, are beautiful?

Not happy about the casting of Ariel my family has true redheads from birth my daughter is one and I am one. The day the casting was announced she called me crying and upset that Disney had now taken away the only princess she identified with. Red heads are fair skinned, pale and don't tan, but all they talk about is how good it is for them casting a dark skinned woman for the role. Total lack of consideration for true red heads that finally had a princess just like them, all that seems to matter is that another dark skinned person got another role. Disney discriminates red heads don't matter. #metoo #imatter #boycottlivelittlemermaid

Do you guys wanna understad that It's not about her skin that all of us don't like the choise of Disney? I'm not racist, I'm just saying that if someone invert a character with black skin to white, every person says that it's racist, consistency! Brother I grew up with a Danish mermaid, with fair skin and red hair, it's just weird... but not innovative. The typical cliché "We'Re AlL ThE SaMe" for MARKERING, not HUMANITY. And Disney is too lazy for a recast.

The grass is always greener on someone's else's lake...you dream about going up their but that is a big mistake...just look at the world around u right here at the ocean floor...such wonderful things around you...what more are you looking for?? Sometimes we are more preoccupied with wanting something better than we can't appreciate what God has given us right here and now!!

I'll not see that movie, bad choise Disney... If she doesn't have red hair I leave the cinema. I'm not racist I'm just sayin' that if some invert a character from black to white skin, every single person says it's racist, consistency! Dear Disney I grew up with a Danish mermaid, with fair skin and red hair, it's just weird... but not innovative! #notmyariel
