One of the most beautiful souls…I’ll never forget receiving the Songwriter’s Lifetime Achievement Award from Whitney in 1989 ➡️ & then Whitney later received my 1998 Quincy Jones Award for Outstanding Achievements at the Soul Train Awards ➡️ (presented by my other sister from anotha mista, @ウーピー・ゴールドバーグ)...It was absolutely beautiful to share these onstage moments with you, Whitney, but it was even more special to share a friendship. I’ll forever wish we had gotten around to doing the album we were planning to do when you were 16, but it will always be an honor to have had you in our lives. Happy Birthday < 3
