“Nepal is a mosaic of culture, religion, language, and tradition. With a population split between a variety of tribes and ethnic affiliations, there is no single wedding style or practice,” writes Nadya Agrawal in “The Essential Guide to Nepali Weddings.” Despite the variety of cultures in Nepal and the different kinds of marriages, Nepali weddings remain constant in one thing: color. “Red and green are the dominant hues in Nepali weddings, speaking to love, vitality, and tradition,” writes Agrawal. This is amazing! Idk why so many people are complaining, maybe the reason why we Nepalese don’t get represented well cause many Nepalese people have to complain about everything! Not everyone in Nepal wears a Dhaka topi to get married!! We have a lot of Hindi speaking Nepalese in the south as well, and people who have other outfits to wear for their weddings according to their castes which does not include a Dhaka topi- exactly what the article is trying to portray. Read people! Thank you Vogue for this beautiful post. We appreciate you!

on the photographers page, this photo is described as a cross ethnic marriage, the bride is Nepali, and the groom is Indian. Even the outfits are in no way representative of traditional Nepali marriage outfits. I suggest you guys do your research before posting a random photo and labeling it as a "Nepalese Wedding"
