No, this red beam in space isn't a light saber! It's a galaxy, far, far away — 44 million light-years away, to be exact.

We often imagine galaxies as having massive spiral arms or thick disks of dust, but not all galaxies are oriented face-on as viewed from Earth. From our viewpoint, our Spitzer Space Telescope can detect this galaxy's infrared light but can only view the entire galaxy on its side where we can't see its spiral features. We know it has a diameter of roughly 60,000 light-years — a little more than half the diameter of our own Milky Way galaxy.

tia.k__ @don_carimbo you all will really never understand huh? How to do you look at the sky for example and think it's there by accident? How can something so beautiful just be there? How do you think this whole universe was created anyway? By accident? That's so dumb. You don't have to be in a specific religion to know that there is a God. Step out of your ego for a second and look around, nothing is around accidentally. There are SO MANY THINGS that scientists can't even explain and yet we all know there's a God out there who can explain it all. Most people who think "God isn't real" KNOW he's real, but they're just in denial cause they're mad at God, for something that's their own fault. For example when some one says something like "if God was real, they're wouldn't be war or global warming" guess what?! All that's our fault, we brought conflict and climate change upon ourselves and people are so selfish as to blame God for it and conclude that he's not real cause of their OWN mistakes. God is undeniably real, it's a fact, not a theory.

don_carimbo @tia.k__ Read my words more closely. God is everything, therefore we're all god and he makes himself suffer through allowing human beings free will to cause suffering. Human beings are just as much a part of god as all animals, plants, the earth, the sun, and the entire cosmos. But god is not limited to human ignorance or capacity, he transcends into what we would call the unconscious, the unknown, the void, or nothingness. Because god in his completeness is out of our reach, being infinitely everything and impossible to be contained in the abstract box of a thought. You can't limit infinity. You can't name god.
