Three days ago the @belgianclimbing team flew to Japan for the world championships. I made the difficult decision not to join them as originally planned, for a number of reasons. The main one is that I am stucked for several months in a negative spiral that I cannot go out of. Despite a good physical shape at the beginning of the season, I have not been able to deliver the expected results. I progressively lost my motivation and self-confidence and my results did only decline further one worldcup after the other. I eventually reached the point where I could not find anymore pleasure in competition climbing and I finally decided to take a break before I would be disgusted forever. Now I want to step back, breathe fresh air and rediscover the pleasure of climbing. My aim is to come back with the smile !
