The towering Imperial AT-AT has an intimidating silhouette that would strike fear in anyone unfortunate enough to come face to face with one. (Art by Ralph McQuarrie, spring 1979.) #Hoth #EmpireStrikesBack

I always thought they looked corny when I was a kid, but thinking about it realistically, with these things being the height of a building lumbering slowly towards you, your ship recently downed, and you having to escape its blasts and attacks, I would be terrified. 😲

It's extremely disappointing that in the 3 Aftermath novels, the show Star Wars: Resistance and both movies that Luke Skywalker is a total non-factor. I prefer the Legends / Expanded Universe as those books treat Luke with more respect than Disney has.

I still have my set of Mcquay art for TESB i bought in the early 80's. Still in its portfolio. Loved the art work. Would open up the folio every few years to marvel at them.

Star Wars owes about 90% of its success to the vision of this man. Hard to understand now the massive amount of originality in this work. Redefined Sci Fi

At least those bright orange flight suits will help the Rebel pilots hide after being shot down. 😬
