At least for part of the year, this semi-nomadic Mongolian family drives their herds across the summer grasslands to graze. In their ger, the round tent they call home, the family poses for a few photos in their traditional dress. Using Sony’s Eye Autofocus, and the 1.4 aperture of the 24mm G Master lens, I am easily able to keep the incredible sharpness where it counts, the eyes.

@yamashitaphoto that's good to know cos it changes the way I see your work. Most here use photoshop a lot to pimp their work - me included. I am not sure how you think about that but when I would guess I would say that you are not a fan. I would say to a specific point it's the experience and the eye for a good photo. But the right equipment makes a difference too. When you don't have the money or a sponsor to buy the right lenses and I would try to shoot the same situation as you did I am sure my photo would be to dark and the colors not as brilliant.

Interesting to see how that kind of green is working here. Usually i mix the green with yellow during post cos I don't like it's greenish tone. In your photo you seem to keep it natural and it's looking just fine.

Such a natural shot of the family. The colours add alot of vibrance, contrast to the image. It has a wonderful organic feel to the image 😊

How to contact those families? I want to visit them or ask if they can provide home stay (just like Airbnb).

Beautiful photo! Would love to go to Mongolia one day. Just curious how often do they move?
