PRO TIP: Over the years I’ve been practicing a technique called stippling. This method is basically a buildup of dotmaking to create an image. Sakura has amazing 003 pens that allow me to make precise mark making in my portraits. The process takes a while, but the end product is always worth it. Patience is a skill I’ll always pass on to other artists. What techniques do you use with your Sakura pens?⁠⠀

tonydixon_art I've been doing pointillism/stippling for a little over a year now and I absolutely love it. It has taught me patience, something I didn't have before. I haven't tried the .003 yet, I've been using the .005.

lesliedenise51 That was one of the coolest methods I learned in art class many...many moons ago. I've wanted to make an attempt at it again. What tools, along with the 003 pens, have you found work best for your process?
