One of my film heroes passed away this weekend, D.A. Pennebaker—such a talented director and cinematographer. I was lucky enough to photograph Penny and his partner in life and film Chris Hegedus for All-American back in 2011. He was so fun-loving and full of life and saw the craziness of the world through his lens in such an extraordinary way.
