brookesfunaccount i know i’m late, but i get especially emotional regarding this topic. as a teen, i am scared. let me say it again for the people in the back. i am really fucking scared. these terrible people haunt me day and night. when i go to school, i am scared. when i simply walk outside, i am scared. i am scared to live the life i should be living. the fact that these actions by those who are caucasian are justified by mental illness, scares me even more. our country, ehem, our world is being dominated by hatred and prejudice. now, let me ask you a question. how will building a wall be at all a solution to this dilemma? it won’t. terrorism has no religion. too many innocent lives have been lost. politicians point fingers to mental illness treatment. news flash. it’s NOT working. guns need to be controlled. i am scared about what is happening in this country. i am even more scared about what it will turn into if we keep going at this rate. the tears falling down my cheek cannot even begin to demonstrate the amount of pain and sorrow i feel for the families of those who lost their lives in El Paso. we need to change. we need to be better. although we are all just really shitty people who have done shitty things, we need to change. i’m not saying this lightly. i feel fucking powerless as a thirteen year old. my words won’t change shit. we all may disagree about the method of solution (which certainly does matter), but we all want one thing: for this madness to end. muffindogemendes This is why guns should still be legal so we can protect ourselves. If we made guns illegal... criminals can still get their hands on one Just like with drugs. In states drugs are illegal and people still get their hands on them and the same thing can happen with guns if they ever were illegal. Think about this. If there was one criminal in that Walmart and no one had guns.. then he would shoot up the place with no problem. But then if he sees that more and more people have guns then he wouldn’t even bother pulling the trigger. Guns are not the enemy... the person handling it is. The person handling it is the one making it shoot, the gun doesn’t do it by itself. So if you want to have all guns illegal or you won’t even put your hands on a gun and then a criminal with a gun ends up in your house... I’m sorry to say this but you’re gonna be gone in a second. And the cops aren’t faster than the bullet.

The El Paso shooter hated Mexicans, obviously a racist, but had some democratic ideals mentioned in the manifest that most media say is his that he thinks the Democratic Party will eventually control America. Why do y’all not mention the Dayton, Ohio shooter who was a leftist which happened a day after? What about the Chicago mass shooting that happened the same day as the Dayton shooting? So if someone follow Hillary they are a child predator? I mean what the kid did was not right on any means and being apart or wanting to join kkk or white supremacy is not okay in any standard but I never see why seeing someone like the president of United States makes him a bad person but he is a bad person but there was no need to add it.

aitor0311 There are crazy people everywhere. Society has broken down completely. There is too much leniency. Someone like this should jump to the head of the line and be executed instead of waiting on death row for 1-5 years. It’s harsh but the only way to deter these criminal actions. In other “third world” country there is no value to life and we have headed that way. We are all one and need to live in harmony. It cost nothing to be polite to anyone, of any color, whether you know them or not.
