Halo’s account, @halotheblindshiba is now public so go follow her if you like! 🐕🐕 We created her account over a year ago but never launched it in fact, the only post on it right now is from June 2018. That is going to change because every time we share her here, on our family account @venusandfamily , or on our TikTok account the response from people asking us to make her her own account is overwhelming. So we finally decided to make it public and will start adding more content very soon! If you follow our TikTok account you already know that the videos that get the most love are either Halo’s alone or videos featuring her in them. My first TikTok to reach almost 10 million views was just Halo. It was then that we truly realized just how much people are touched by her journey and inspired by her resilience despite losing her eyes to glaucoma. The impact she has on everyone who sees or meets her is immeasurable. Halo is just 2 months younger than Venus so they grew up together as a kitten and a puppy. Who would’ve guessed that FFW 10 years we’d have not just 1 but 3 “special needs” pets out of 5, all unplanned! Our journeys through life test us, knock us down, lift us up, bring both tears of sorrow and joy, but always push us to find strength we didn’t think we had. 💪 Back in 2009 we never imagined that at the age of 7 she’d lose an eye and 9 months later lose the other. People give me praise all the time for being her strength, teaching her how to navigate without her sight, etc but the truth is, she has given me strength, inspiration, and hope on my bad days & taught me so much more than I could teach her. I am a stronger & better person because of her, through this horrible thing that happened which ultimately created a tighter bond than I ever thought possible. I am her rock but only as much as she is mine! We’ve been through a lot together and I’m excited to finally be able to share more of our story through her own page.
