I had a great time surfing in the Open 🙃♥️ Obviously it’s never fun to lose, but I’m happy to put myself in a better position in the rankings for the back half of the year. If there were points for the spirit you put into it you probably would've won that heat! 😀 Excellent job making it such a tough competition! ...Higher energy waves and you might've easily had the chance to get a score that put you ahead

Too bad they take the top 2 from each heat. If they took the 8 heat winners plus the top 8 scores regardless of heat, you would have advanced! Nevertheless it was a good showing! 👏

That’s one of the great things about surfing, you NEVER lose!! Whether it’s a wipe out, or a ten minute tube, the ocean is our prize.
