A humble leader on and off the mound. Thank you, Shane, for all you've done in Detroit.

@chrisk_18 he's been tearing it up in the minors, oh well if he wasn't good enough to join a division leading world series contender. The braves didn't have an open spot for him that doesn't make him not good enough to be in the majors. What was Greene really producing for the team. He pitched 14 innings in the last 2 months as a tiger. There were no more save opportunities, he was wasted talent on a rebuilding roster. Castellanos had very little value, he's a one dimensional rental player who was guaranteed to leave at the end of the season for absolutely nothing. Picks literally can't be traded in the MLB, and package deals can only be done if a team actually wants multiple players. Very rare for a team to be looking to fill multiple positions at the deadline like that.

@rylandwilliamson I just said that. I literally just said he was called up by the tigers, no other team would call him up. We’re just that bad. He never played for the Braves, he hasn’t played MLB games. The man is a minor leaguer. Then keep him. He has a small contract and produces for the team. Even with Castellanos we didn’t get anything back. And try packaging players stop doing one player trades that’s why we never get anything back. Try adding picks or additional players to the trade, that’s what teams want.

@chrisk_18 nope, Demeritte was immediately called up and added to the Detroit Tigers Major league roster. Look it up. And while I would have loved for them to get more for him this is obviously the best offer they got and being that it was the trade deadline there wasn't exactly time to wait for more. You also can't expect an all star reliever to get the same type of return as a starter or everyday player. It's just not as valuable of a position

@chrisk_18 these literally are guys that will play, most of our top prospects will be up in the next 2 years which is the earliest we can expect to be competitive coming out of this rebuild. Demeritte will likely be called up to the tigers right away, he's tearing up AAA this year. And if not him then Daz Cameron will be up to fill the outfield. These aren't some far off future pieces, these guys will be Major league ready in 2 years or less

@rylandwilliamson you can also send money and players of choice. So why these guys for our elite mlb players? He’s not a wasted talent. In what world is a current all star a waste. He pitches a 1.18 era and has 22 saves the only reason he gets losses is because the tigers team is almost at the farm league level with no one batting over .300. So where are our hitters. We traded for them but sadly they’re still in the minor leagues.

I’m not understanding Avila’s changes, Shane and Nick are awesome players, I chose Shane as my go to guy to follow this year, and I have been very pleased with my decision, Thank you Shane and Nick for all you’ve contributed to our team, sad for our Tigers Fans, but you know most great players when they get traded, go on to do better things and be better players on winning teams, so Good Luck to you both, god bless♥️
