The day before Rocco left us for the rainbow bridge we had a little gathering for him. It was very last minute and I didn’t tell anyone why I was doing it. I’m so grateful we did that for him and even though he didn’t really remember anyone by then he had a great time.
It was incredibly rough for my husband and I so we didn’t take many pictures and just enjoyed watching him eat everything his little heart desired. I can say with confidence that this day was one of the happiest for him.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day extra special for him and to those who wanted to join but couldn’t. And special shout out to @freakyneeko’s mom who surprised us with lots of food for the humans and our furbabies and @middyperletxfiddledogs’s mom for making a special batch of brisket just for Rocco.

What a wonderful send off! While we didn’t know exactly when our Madge would leave us until the morning of her passing. The day before was a great day for her, and us. I am so grateful for those memories as I am sure you are for these. 😔

I'm so sorry to hear this rocco always comes up on my feed I too have had to say goodbye to my pug peggy and it's the hardest thing still can't wrap my head around it at least you were able to give him his best last day xxx

I’m so sorry to hear that Rocco passed. I loved following his escapades. What a beautiful send off though! We lost our sweet Roscoe in May. It was so heartbreaking. Sending you lots of love. 💔
