Hey y’all 👋 Sorry for lack of posts lately, I’ve been taking a break for health reasons and it’s been so so wonderful. Chronic illnesses are a real kick in the pants!! I developed POTs syndrome in the last two months. It’s hard. I am a busy body though, and I have a hard time resting on my laurels, so I’ve kept myself busy doing art at @janealdridgeart and some other fun fashion projects I am insanely excited about 👏 One thing I’ve learned in the last six years is that chronic illnesses can be great teachers, and working with new limitations can help develop your strengths and clarify what *really* matters to you in life. Cheers to happy accidents 👋❤️🥰 thanks for following me through ALL of life’s changes.

@seaofshoes so sorry you’re feeling less than awesome, Jane. I’ve suffered with my own cocktail of long term chronic and mystery illness and I’m here to say there’s relief to be found. I don’t believe in disease as a life sentence- everything runs in cycles so as unbelievable as it seems, this too shall pass. Putting yourself in the very center of your universe is the best thing you can do, social media or no. Your body will tell you what’s right- all you have to do is listen... 💛

someone i love also has POTs and definitely struggles with being housebound in the summer. thank you so much for speaking out about having it! lack of visibility of chronic illness is a huge struggle and your taking and holding space is SO APPRECIATED!!!!!! i'm a longtime fan and follower and send you love and light!

@seaofshoes have you come across the Nemechek protocol? I’m using it for complex ptsd but many adults on the fb group have/had POTs and found healing w it. Hope you are well, this outfit is my platonic ideal of clothing and your art is lovely. :))

Chronic illness absolutely sucks, I live with Crohn's disease and everyday can be different but I sincerely hope you're able to get the symptoms under control and feel well and yourself again! 💞

@seaofshoes I had severe POTS as well as endo (and more!) and I healed all of it and then some. If ever you're interested in what I did, I'd be happy to talk privately.

Your outfits are always perfection not to ignore the seriousness of your post but I can never find pants I like w big enough belt loops for my fave belts like this
