jmchasteen I love the little raccoons that live by my house, but I’m not going to lie: I blame everything on them. My trash gets knocked over? Dang raccoons! Flowers get dug up? Dang raccoons! But one day I heard something in the trash can, and in my mind, I was already blaming the raccoons, so I pull open my kitchen door to scare it away and up pops a skunk tail from the trash can. Fortunately for me, there was a glass storm door between me and that skunk. My dogs who rushed to my aid from outside when they heard the door open were not so lucky. 😂

apostrophecommasemicolon They're total dicks down here in Florida - they'll flip you off while they're walking away with your garbage. I confronted a group of them once and asked them why they're so rude...their leader looked right at me and said, "Bitch please, when you start cooking for us we'll start leaving your trash alone!" It was completely uncalled for, and unnecessary, and quite offensive. There's no reasoning with raccoons when it comes to foraging behavior.

mim5453 They started drinking out of my Hummingbird feeders late last summer. They waited a month to get back at it this spring. We bring the feeders in every night because we know they won’t forget and are relentless. Makes me mad, but I respect their smarts.

kfine62 My son was little when Pocahontas came out. We saw several raccoons in Vancouver on vacation and he called them ‘Meeko.’ We still call them that!
