Shooting in the Central Kalimantan, Borneo with @bosfoundation. Working up close with rehabilitated Orangutang was one of the most unique experiences I’ve had. It was important we wore masks at all times to ensure the safety of the animals and protect their health. In this image I’m also wearing an easyrig which helps take the weight of the camera and made shooting long hours in the jungle more bearable.

My husband and I stayed in a rural home in the countryside outside Sandakan, Borneo for a while back in 1991. We visited the Orangutang sanctuary there in its early days and trekked through the jungle visiting Orangutangs at the various stages of rehabilitation. We were so lucky to encounter a once baby orphan and by then a mother with her baby. It is an experience we never have and never will forget. Keep doing what you are doing Jack - it is so important.

I wish I could spend just one day filming and visiting such places and learn the behaviours of such endangered species and climate changes. ✨🌸@jackharries

Oh just be careful. The way the Orangutans are thinking are far different from humans. Praying for your safety but I admire your bravery. GOD bless you.
