imontoya_osk @grizzly_millman Maybe, and probably. But with relaunching their basketball shoe line, they need to differentiate from the crowded market. If they decide to go for the cultural/fashionable image, Adidas will overshadow them because that's their space already. Look at Puma. They launched their new basketball shoes last year with no clear positioning and they are now lost in all the noise. All I'm saying is in order for Converse (or any other brand) to standout, they need to be different. There's a gap in the market for what their brand used to represent. Wouldn't be a bad idea to explore that route.

imontoya_osk Not sure this is the best athlete for endorsing your shoes, @converse. He doesn't fit your brand. He's more of an Adidas guy (swag, for the culture). Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Converse brand represents the street, the grit, the toughness. Original Converse basketball shoes were worn by old school rough and tough players who weren't afraid to get a little blood on their jersey. Kelly Oubre doesn't embody that. You should've gone after guys like Patrick Beverly, Marcus Smart, Draymond Green, etc. That's your brand, @converse. Don't shy away from it, embrace it.
