My last daughter was a bit of a slip up. But I couldnt have been more excited. At 14 weeks I started bleeding and cramping so I called the dr they had us come in right away. We went in my hcg level had dropped. The baby had no heartbeat and they sent the chaplain in to pray with us. They said my body was expelling the baby. I could go home and if anything worsened or the baby didnt pass I would need a DNC. We came home told our other 2 children that the baby was in heaven. The next day I was cramping so bad I had to crawl to the phone. Called my husband then the dr. They had me set up for a DNC when I got there. It was snowing. So on the way we wrecked. A nurse pulled up first called an ambulance, then a guy with a tow truck pulled up. And pulled my husband out. The ambulance took me to the nearest hospital and they did an ultrasound. There she was moving sucking her thump her heart was beating away. Turned out I had a DVT and kidney stones. If God hadn't intervened they would have done a DNC on our healthy baby. I was in the hospital basically my whole pregnancy well 54 times. And lost 46lbs. I was put on the pump again plus had to take lovenox shots in my stomach. She was born at 29wks and 4 days weighing 4lbs. Since she was our miracle we named her Victoria Grace. Because I know she is here by the Grace of God. Drs dont know everything only God does. Prayers for you your husband and your sweet baby.

Hi Shawn, im just watching ur vlog about ur 20 week scan and bub having a 2 vessel cord, i didnt even realise how rare it is im not sure if its cuz im in Australia but our last pregnancy my third bub has a 2 vessel cord and i was freaking out but my midwife and dr didnt seem concerned at all i wasnt told anything about still birth being a risk i wasnt told that labour could be high risk non of that, the only thing that was different in that pregnancy to my other 2 was i had 2 extra scans at 36 and 38 weeks to check bub was still growing how he should have been and hadnt slowed down and he didnt i went on to go into labour naturally at 40+3 and he was 7pd9 he was 1 ounce bigger then 1 of my other babies ❤️

I was put right back in your shoes with talks of “markers” and a possible Down syndrome diagnosis. All the emotions and the helpless feeling that there’s nothing you can do and obviously so many questions about the future. And honestly just the sadness that comes along with not having a “perfectly healthy” baby. I am so happy y’all got a negative diagnosis and that Baby East is healthy! ??But let me tell you, my sweet Will, who does have Down syndrome, is the biggest blessing to me and my family! I didn’t know that one little boy could bring so much joy, happiness, and laughter! God definitely knew what he was doing when He chose us to be his parents!?#nothingdownaboutit

Yay for growing baby..... I had ended up in my first pregnancy with a rare cord as well mine was a four vessel cord, and I didn’t even find out about it till after I had her. I also had a very scary labor with her as her shoulder got stuck on my pelvic bone and they doctors said she would probably have damaged nerves in her shoulder and arm..... but she doesn’t and I’m so happy she is now 7 and playing basket ball. Being a parent is the most rewarding and scary job out there so just keep believing and everything will turn out in Gods plan

I’m so happy you’re baby is well! I’m praying. But just find it hard to swallow to post a video of such a scary situation. When I had a a terrible ultrasound diagnosis last thing I wound think to do is post or talk about it. I wanted to crawl in a hole. ?♀️ I just hope you don’t sensationalize what to some is a real forever disability. My son has severe epilepsy( had malformation in his brain on ultrasound) & I would never make a video about the worry we have had over the last 11 yrs.

My 31 year old had two vessels in her cord and at birth they flipped me out by making comments about two vessels, kidney failure etc. she is fine and had no issues. I have since become a nurse who works with kidney patients. I don’t know why they like to scare people to death. Fortunately we didn’t have ultrasounds early on or I would’ve been completely terrified throughout the pregnancy. I had lost babies before having her and her brother. You look great!!
