It took hours of patient translating to convey their intentions, since the Quechua speak only their native tongue and very little Spanish. But @cocorsirvas recognized the potential of Pitumarca and dedicated himself to the cause.

Eventually permission was granted, and Coco began bolting area classics. Today he acts as liaison between climbers and the Quechua community while continuing to visualize new routes.
