@toughmamakiera she has taken rides and also does not respond. There’s nothing wrong with asking questions and having them answer. None of this became personal, just a discussion. I have the same concerns because Clark and Ocean will have taken the time to build trust. John Q. Public is going to skip that part and get hurt. And I still think it’s wrong for many reasons. But I’ve expressed my views, others have too on both sides of discussion so I’m done. Many people made personal attacks (if you saw my direct messages you’d be stunned. They’d never have courage to say these things in person. They’re gutless and only have courage behind a keyboard) so I’m done responding. Hope everyone has a nice day, we all do seem to have a similar love and interest in these animals.

I like how the people attacking Clark dont appear to have a drop of wildlife education between them. I don't even respect people for picking up snakes because they're easily damaged and their movements are rarely interpreted correctly, but Clark Little wants to grab a tiger shark fin? More power to him, he's not gonna damage the fin by catching a ride in the water column, he's not harvesting its fins, and YES he made a single, tiny mistake. Forgetting to telling you dumb asses who think their animal biologists that they shouldn't do this and that he's a professional.

If anyone really has a problem with sharks being touched then speak up against finning and help pass legislation to protect them from the wasteful killing that happens daily. Over 100,000,000 Sharks are killed every year, and @clarklittle has done a lot more than 99% of people to raise awareness for their plight. He is not harming this shark but sharks are having their fins cut off everyday for shark fin soup so if anything about this image bothers you then do something to help save them, don’t just criticize people in text.

@u4scuba Sorry to hear that. We should always treat each other with respect. How can we learn & grow without questions & productive conversations? People who see this image & think riding a tiger is something anyone can do without experience & the right team are crazy. I know divers in Kona who specifically dive where they know they will have interactions with Laverne and friends, but I've never seen them try anything like this.

@u4scuba @clarklittle posted #noregrets. I'd be interested in what @OceanRamsey thinks. I've never seen a picture of her catching a ride and her life mission is to protect sharks. This image initially made me cringe, seeing a deep lack of respect, but who am I to know how that shark feels? She could easily get away from him or harm him if she wanted to. . .

Great pic! Great conversations going on. Keep it friendly brothers and sisters else we no better than those who call of us crazy for caring about such creatures. We mustn’t fight but educate. And as far as bonding, well, I think the Tiger thinks of Clark about as highly as a Remora. ??
