Francis Kéré of @kerearchitecture reveals the inner xylem of local lodgepole pine logs in a new work for Tippet Rise Art Center in Montana. Part pavilion, part bench, part sculpture, the structure is designed for enjoying nature, music and company in the vast landscape of the @tippet.rise ranch. Leaning back against the sloping logs - felled from already dead trees infested by mountain beetles, the multiplying circles of the inner trunks are a hypnotic and meditative anchor.
