I read that it was vines from Lebanon brought/planted by the romans in France approx 2-300 BC as the first known vines there in their famous regions so if that is true Lebanon vines are the mothers/fathers of French wine😊🍷

@fabien_paris Yes could be but this was especially regarding the today famous areas Bordeaux, Burgundy and Langeudoc that the romans planted these vines according to that article :-)

Someone led you to the wine rabbit hole. Good luck diving in. I think the oldest Musar we had is a 1985, consumed over a three hour period. Amazing.
