m_saba00 People who keep mentioning USWNT losing to dallas fc, whats the point? Does that mean they dont deserve to be womens world champs? Or does that mean they arent competing consistently at the top of their level in their sport? And although it doesnt excuse it entirely, that match against dallas was a scrimmage, for the purpose of letting the women test the pitch before their huge game against russia that same week. So the USWNT was playing conservatively to avoid injuries and to stay rested for their match that actually counted in an actual competition against russia, whereas the boys team could play all out and hold nothing back as they had nothing to lose. It still is a bit concerning that they lost to them, but it would be a VERY different competition if they were both trying their best

miss_kutka Well now I’m just super confused. I thought this was for the 2018 season.. the winning team didn’t really accomplish anything major until like, last week(2019).. so apparently the US Women’s Hockey team, who won the GOLD in the OLYMPICS in 2018 is... non-profitable.
