We’re launching a collaboration between HAYN x SIG ON SMITH x ILASWIM tomorrow here in Japan. This collection draws inspiration from, and focus on, the Monstera leaf – a key motif for Hawaiin design in the 1930s. Designer Sig Zane first became interested in vintage etched glass windows and continuously collected numerous pieces. This project has been meaningful to me not only because Hayn and Sig On Smith are both also from Hawaii, but because they share in my belief in the importance of running a value-led company. The talks that we had about the importance of the intersection of design and sustainability let me know that we were on to a great partnership. This alignment is the key reason why I’ve been honored to have worked together. Your support, creativity, vision and energy are the reason why I am where I am.

今回のコラボレーションは私にとって大きい事でもあり一年以上にかけてのプランがやっと形にできました。このコレクションは、シグスミスのデザイナー・シグゼーン氏が1930年代のハワイアンデザインの重要なモチーフであるモンステラの葉とエッジグラスからインスピレーションを受けこのようにモンステラ葉を模様柄に。Hayn (ハイアン) 環境に意識を持つフットウェアでもありこのようにハワイブランドの私たちは同じビジョンを抱え、コラボレーションが生まれました。HAYN×SIG ON SMITH×ILASWIM ポップアップ開催期間ハワイをちょっとでも感じれるよう、皆さまにこのコレクションを楽しんでいただきたいと思ってます。明日13時から名古屋いよいよスタートです！楽しみにお待ちしてます。
