I tried to track down by hand each and every person who hit Like on my post from the other day. I had never done that before now. There were times when there were stalkers or disagreeable messages, and sometimes I wanted to get away from social media. At last, I sincerely wanted to know who has been looking at my posts. When I counted I was able to discover about 900 people, half from Japan, the rest from countries other than Japan, and there were lots of flags that I saw for the first time and looked up on Google. Embarrassingly enough, I never had a chance to foster a great interest in world history before this. Up until high school my mind was full with horse riding, and from college on it has been full with art and design. Since starting on social media, I think I'm gaining an interest in the world for the first time. I wonder how all of you found and followed me. Each of those countries has its own history, its own culture, and its own language. I have a miraculous feeling and really huge thanks, and I want to learn little by little about how those people live their lives. Although I can't change the past, I think about how great it would be if from now on our generation were able to appreciate the wonderfulness of each other with the power of the Web and social media.
