#TBT Back in 1979, Honda reworked its legendary Elsinore motocross models—the CR250R and CR125R—inspired by Team Honda’s factory works bikes. The production versions featured aluminum cylinders, full-floating rear brakes, laydown gas shocks and aluminum rims, and were celebrated in this classic "Red Alert" ad. Attending @ama_riding #VintageMotorcycleDays tomorrow? Be sure to check out the seminar “Honda: 60 Years in America,” with Honda brand champion @kokoro_honda

Fashback to 1980 Robinsville New Jersey, This is the 1st real motorcycle I ever rode and it fueled my passion for moto, if it weren't for this bike I might have just stayed on my John Deere Liguifire...lol @honda_powersports_us birthed a true #RedRider and have stayed with the brand 39 years later up to my 2018 CRF450R

I raced the '79 CR125R. Swapped the 23" front wheel out for a Chuck Sun 21". It was a bit of a rough ride... Great time to be racing though.

I had the 250 back then. I still can feel the pain of the left side kick starter kicking back and hitting the back of my leg.
