If this is what they let us see and hear of Trump’s #ConcentrationCamps, imagine what happens that we don’t see. If only the UN could be let in to investigate (they’re being denied), the monsters running this would be held accountable for their crimes against humanity. #CloseTheCampsNow

@drunkinthunder Hmm. I don’t think so. I keep saying since every time I make a comment or say something about the camps, nobody responds or otherwise has time for it. The time is widely devoted to debating the term. So I don’t think I’m lost in the terminology. I like to say it’s not a concentration camp. Period. But I still see that regardless of whether or not I’m talking about the situation, people don’t want to talk with me. It’s that mindset of “losing credibility” that’s the problem here; people are still more concerned with their image than conceding to fix a problem. My opinion. Take it how you will. As with interment camps, I agree to a point. I don’t hate the phrasing. But how it still is able to be swept under the rug is disturbing to me. Nonetheless, I don’t think that’s be able to really happen with this issue because of how prevalent information is nowadays. There is zero possibility for people to be largely unaware of what’s happening at the border What with all the pictures floating around almost every form of social and informational media. I think people really discount that and I think it’s a mistake. Now, whether or not people think it’s a big deal is a different discussion. As sad as it is to think about, a lot of folks know how bad it looks from the images and articles. They probably think it’s worse. And a lot of them don’t care because it’s “better than where they were before”, etc. This isn’t a battle of semantics or people not seeing what is happening because the government might be glossing over it; it’s a matter of people lacking empathy. Period. That’s my opinion, of course.

@ashleynyasha_ you are the walking definition of irony. If you want to be successful dont be so convoluted. Make a statement and do not contradict yourself. I'll chalk this up to youthful ignorance. Not in the way you're getting offended about either. If you make a statement you have to back it or admit defeat. Your opinion on the definition of concentration/ Internment/ detention is lacking insight, history and perspective. I do not agree with you in the slightest bit about the semantic pedantry of the labeling of what defines a concentration camp. All i know is what is happening is wrong, you agree with that, but for some asinine reason persist on defining wrong as anything but. I wish the best of luck to you in all your endeavors and hope only for your success.

This is truly the @uglyfruitandveg truth post. Everyday people don’t see or don’t know about where their food comes from and how it’s brought to their table. Without hard working immigrants in this country much of the food that people eat would never make it to the table! These are hard working people coming here to seek asylum and a better life for themselves and there families and without them most of us wouldn’t have food to eat! To treat them like animals and not treat them like human beings is completely unamerican! People like Trump and others on here saying things like depot them are the reason we have become a joke on the world stage!

@drunkinthunder Never said I speak for Jewish people. All it takes is a quick Google search (2019, remember?) to see a plethora of articles posted talking about some Holocaust survivors that don’t appreciate the terminology. Let alone, the article posted in this thread that conceded that Jewish groups have complained about the terminology. Hence why I say “Jewish groups and some Holocaust survivors”. Quick Google search, my dude. And sorry. I went to shower.

@drunkinthunder Didn’t add on one more thing. It was interesting to me to see you talk about marginalizing suffering. Don’t you think the phrasing marginalizes those Jewish groups and Holocaust survivors who have came out speaking against it? If they went through their suffering and decry the phrasing, shouldn’t something as simple as using a different term be better? It certainly is worth losing “credibility” to me.

@leairbag concentration camps are where people were sent against their will , and were worked like slaves until they died. These people chose to come here , or they were paid ( who is paying their cell phone bills...they are unemployed, and they all have them), they are overloading a system that was in place during Obama’s administration
