“No matter who I play against, I want to win.” After defeating her idol Venus Williams at Wimbledon, 15-year-old Cori “Coco” Gauff told reporters, “I wasn't really thinking about who I was facing on the other side of the net.” Gauff is the youngest player to ever qualify for Wimbledon. Monday’s match was Gauff's first at Wimbledon, where Williams has played more than 100 and won five titles. By the time Gauff was born in 2004, Williams had spent time at No. 1 in the rankings and owned four of her seven Grand Slam singles trophies.
