ketacaudillo Hi ya. I need some help and some serious advice. I am in need or searching of a affordable fishing rod and reels for myself and my grandson Noah, he is 6 year's old. I would love to take him fishing for the first time ever in his life. But we both need fishing rod and reels. I hear these are the best. Can you direct me to some places where they may have some for a excellent and inexpensive price for a child? Or if there is such a great value price. If you know what I mean. angus.beef97 Now I’ve caught big stripers all the way from Rhode Island to Maine, and all over cape cod (I live there for crying out loud) and I ain’t ever use this reel but I am considering picking one up for live lining mackerel, would this handle fish in the 30-40 pound range?

tackledaily @ketacaudillo Dicks and Academy should have a great selection of inexpensive rod/reel combos to choose from. Also, you might want to get a spinning reel combo for him since those are a bit easier to use and will make fishing more enjoyable for y’all. Hope that helps!
