for our time on Mallorca, we rented an electric vehicle. I’ve taken to choosing electric vehicles on vacation because I believe it’s the right thing to do, although I don’t have one at home (yet) ((goals)) — you may be able to tell by the slightly pained expression on my face in this photo, but keeping this electric vehicle charged was a pain in the ass. chargers were fairly abundant but rarely worked, and when they did, the vehicle would sometimes indicate upwards of 5 hours charging time! we couldn’t charge it at our hotel overnight. So, much of our holiday consisted of scrambling about, trying to keep our car moving. it made us really considerate of where we would drive on the limited range of charge we had, as we couldn’t just fill up with gas whenever we needed. So while it was a bit of a nightmare, I would still make that choice again. I like that environmentally- friendly choices force one to be more present. your choices become intentional, you begin to think, “do I really need this?!” instead of rabidly consuming. same goes for bringing your own beverage container and bringing your own grocery bags. they encourage intentional living, and I like that. I like that a lot.

Believe it or not it’s the hardest thing to deal with in LA. I have a hybrid car and I currently live in a house. I was looking at housing options. You have to live in a house; apartment buildings charge through the nose for ev charging parking spots. So, California essentially makes it where you have to be wealthy to be eco-friendly. Same with biodegradable plastics; they’re very expensive and only a select few can afford to be eco-friendly. It’s the same problem with our food it’s expensive to eat organic. In Europe most everything is biologique, you don’t have to label it. ?

I applaud your efforts, the technology may not be as convenient yet, but we gotta drop fossil fuels, already, like yesterday, so any chance we get to go electric (specially since being honest most of us can't quite afford an electric car yet) we must take it, even if it means putting a bit more effort on our part, our planet deserves it ?⚡?

You’re STUNNING! But - electric cars require the charging of batteries. Look up what batteries do to our environment while you’re trying to be all earth-happy. Just sayin’.
