Sometime ago in #1990 I had an idea to make lipsticks wearable. I was inspired by the natural tones in people’s lips. I also knew that some women also loved red, pink and orange. And by the way I named the colors Red, Pink and Orange. The beauty industry has changed so much and as how women actually use makeup today. So interesting. I couldn’t love makeup any less just very differently. #sundaythoughts

c_welch0625 @justbobbibrown .. I remember seeing your makeup in the early 90's in a department store and thought.. my gosh, this is it!! It was before "natural/nude" makeup was trendy. I could barely afford rent, let alone your makeup, but when I got my first bonus, I went straight to the makeup counter and bought myself a treat! Thank you for being a pioneer in the emerging market called cosmetics! You are an inspiration to women everywhere, and has shown to follow your dreams, it CAN be done! (btw, if whomever is reading this as the social media mgr, please pass this along. Its truly heartfelt!)

lizmackinnon I remember going to a counter with my mum when I arrived in NYC to intern for the summer at the Met. I bought Clove lipstick, tawny blush and taupe eyeshadow. Still can’t beat those colours for complimenting my colouring. Just perfect, but Clove was discontinued years ago. I changed to Nude lipstick and Uber Beige cream blush a few years ago and now that’s been discontinued. But thank you for giving me such good memories with my mum exploring makeup and making us feel glamorous and special. We still both love talking makeup together 30 years later! ❤️

rjw1013 Began wearing makeup at 20 or so. Didn’t know where to go but Neimans had the HUGE counter and I was drawn to it and it was the beginning of a new chapter as a young woman with little confidence (and still struggle). 20 years later - we’ll you said it your post. You, your vision, you message, are truly missed. ❤️

dontforgetyemen I was so shocked when I went to a BB counter to get a bronzer and got told to contour instead!! I thought I was overhearing things. I wanted to tell the MUA the founder of this brand was not into contour and never made any products to contour with. BB has not been the same since you left!!

scootingalong2 I loved bring your line in to Neiman Marcus Pali Alto California in 1991 when everyone said I was crazy to leave another line and work for you!I made us Number 1 in 6 months and loved traveling for you a few times to other Neimans-Still wear the line!❤️

maybel_made_it Your idea of your lips/skin/eyes but better will absolutely never go out of fashion. If you started a clean beauty line I would be loyal for another 25 years, as i was to BB cosmetics for 25 years.
