A new Mars rover needs a name, and @NASA is asking K-12 students across the US for help. The spacecraft, which is currently called “2020 rover,” is set to launch next summer and land on the red planet in February 2021. The rover will collect samples, search for signs of possible ancient life and study the planet’s climate. NASA is hoping the nationwide “Name the Rover” contest will spark student’s interest in STEM fields and the exploration of Mars. Above is NASA’s Curiosity rover. (📸: NASA)
