You already know that I grew up in Aba but I didn’t tell you that I grew up in an industrial family.
My father has a company that’s into soap manufacturing and Palm kernel oil production.
I’m the first son and like most Igbo families, I was expected to work for my dad.

Danda made sure that we all knew the importance of hard work and would make us work in the factory during the holidays.

We resumed at work in the morning like any other staff, sign off lunch money with his secretary and will close at the end of work just like everyone.
We didn’t get any special treatment but he made sure that we learnt the business from bottom to top.

This continued until we went to the University. I was originally supposed to study law but I didn’t make the cut off mark required by University of Nigeria at the point in time, so I opted for Urban and Regional planning with the plan of switching to Law in the second year.

Well, that never happened and so, I continued with my course at the time.

In my first year in School,I was never seen with my classmates, I found out I was interested in entertainment and for that reason,I set out to find the people who were running the show in school.

I was always in the company of Chigozie (Bassman )Dimgba,Chijioke Okonkwo and Ogbonna Uzoigwe.
They were in their 3rd year and I was out of my own class most times with them. It was always cool hanging out with them but that resulted to 4 carryovers in my first year. Plus side - they helped shaped my love and future in entertainment.

When they left school, I finally faced my studies & graduated with my set.

Back home,I continued working in my dad’s factory but was selling novels on the side.

This was the beginning of the hustle until it was time for NYSC.

Nobs : Danda, my NYSC posting is out
Danda :Where did they post you ?
Nobs : Gombe But I don’t want to go
Danda :You’ll go
Nobs: It’s in the north,
Danda : Ana eje mba ka amuta ihe.
Nobs :How am I going to survive?
Danda :You’ll be fine. Take the black 190 with you and we’ll make arrangement for a flat.

This was the beginning.
